Halloween 2012



Here they are dressed in their costumes this year, with the exception of Sam.  He felt he was too old to dress up.  We took them to a Trunk or Treat at a local church, and then we went to our church for their regular Wednesday night service.  Sadie went as a cheerleader, Lizzy a princess, Sophie went as Princess Adelina (from a book we have), Henry a soldier, Silas is the Hulk (again), and Nicky is Derek Jeter from the Yankees.



 

So many reasons to Praise the Lord today!

Lizzy Beth

 We had a bit of a scare this weekend w/ Lizzy.  She was playing in a soccer tournament and took a ball to the left side of her face, trying to keep the other team from scoring the winning goal.  Well, she succeeded, but took the force of the direct kick right to the head.   She grabbed her head, but stayed in the game.  Fortunately, there was only a minute or two left in the game and they ended in a tie, 1-1, thanks to her.  As we were leaving, she started crying and saying she couldn't see very clearly out of her left eye.  As soon as I pulled into the driveway at home, she started to throwing up and was having difficulty walking.  So, Aaron and I took her to the ER, where they did a CT scan.  Everything came back normal,  and she was diagnosed with a concussion.  She will be out for a few days from soccer.  But, she is feeling tons better.  No more dizziness, headaches or nausea.   

Our church sent her some balloons and a bag full of candy and cookies to help the healing process ;)

The Best $15 I've Ever Spent

I bought this box of play doh at Wal-Mart on clearance the other day.  My kids have gotten many hours of out of it.  I would much rather them doing things like this than sitting in front of the TV, and it was much cheaper than an XBOX or Wii game :).

 

Just wanted to mention that Sophie scored 4 goals this day, and helped her team win 7-3!   It was her team's first win in 3 seasons!

A Sneak Peek

Well, I am a "little" late in getting Nicky's 2 year pictures made, but here are a few of them.  He wouldn't cooperate, so there aren't that many.  These are just the proofs from Sears. 

 

 

Sophie turned 7!



We celebrated Sophie's birthday with 3 soccer games, donuts, and dinner at Texas Roadhouse.   Happy Birthday, Sophie!

 

My Soccer Stars

The fall season kicked off yesterday.  Lizzy and Sophie are on new teams this fall.  Lizzy's team is REALLY good and won their first game 3-2.  Sophie's team is REALLY bad and lost their game.  Ha!  And, Sadie's team, well, we aren't sure how they are going to be this season.   They tied 0-0.  They would love for you to come out and see them play.
