Halloween

For Halloween this year, we had a "cereal" killer:

A ceiling fan:

A bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans:

And, two Iron Men:

Sadie won 3rd place for her costume at the Wagoner Trunk or Treat.  Her award was $15 and a Sonic coupon for a sundae:

She also entered a contest with her orthodontist and won a $50 Visa gift card:

The best part of all :)

Shepherds Cross Farm

I haven't taken the kids to a pumpkin patch since Samuel and Lizzy were young.  So, I had heard about Sheperd's Cross Farm and decided to take them.  It was a really neat working farm.  The people who own it are Christians and they have scripture posted everywhere.  I would highly recommend going if you ever get the chance.  I plan on taking the kids back in April, when they do their sheep sheering demonstration and show how they turn the wool into yarn.  They even sell their yarn in the store, which is in the red barn to the left in the first picture. The store is in the bottom of the barn and they have made the top of the barn into a learning center.  They had games and displays throughout.  This was one of our favorite fieldtrips!

Silas

Silas played soccer and flag football this fall.  His flag football team, the Raiders, were the K-1 Division Champs.  His soccer team, the Avengers, lost only 2 games this season, with Silas being their leading scorer.  Here are a few photos and a cute little video of the Avengers doing their team chant:

Sophie Belle

I am little behind on the happenings around our place.  I thought I would start with a little video of Sophie's first "mini recital".  She is really enjoying her class.  She will have another "mini recital" in December and then a big recital in May, where she will be doing a ballet and a tap routine.   But, this first one was just a tap routine.  I thought she did a great job!  (You may have to vistit my website to be able to see the video.)

Sophie is 8!!

Our little princess turned 8 on September 6th.  She is now doing ballet and tap, and she is loving it.  Her first sneak peek recital is in October 10th.  They will be performing a couple of dances for the parents.  And, then she will have a recital in December.  I hope I get to see her perform in the Nutcracker someday (no pressure though).  Happy Birthday, Sophie!  We love you soooooo much!

Football Highlights

Here are a couple of plays from Silas' game last night.  In the first part of the video, he is running the ball down the sideline.  It was the first time he has gotten to run the ball this season.  He was so excited!   In the second part, he is the one on the left in the defensive line.  He is #9.  They have played 3 games and won each one so far.  Silas can tell the score of each game, in case you were wanting to know ;).  He is a alot of fun to watch!

The Barn is FINISHED!!!!

Well, almost finished.  Aaron just needs to paint the doors and put it some lighting and it will be done.  We have already unloaded the POD (Thank the Lord we no longer have to pay for that!) and most of the other barn that we are tearing down.  I am so proud of Aaron and the boys!  They worked so hard in the heat to get it done and it looks GREAT!  Here are some pics of the process:
