Today, Aaron and I took the four oldest children to see Don Giovanni. It was a great production and we had a wonderful time. It lasted about 2 and half hours and I was very proud of the kids for sitting there that long. Although, it wasn't hard to do, because it was a funny and entertaining opera. The kids were worried about not being able to understand it, since it was in Italian. But, they put the words up on a screen above the stage. Also, we were able to meet some of the performers after the show and take pictures w/ them. Did I mention we got to do this for free? Thank you Aaron Beck and the Tulsa Opera for making this possible.

Anne of Green Gables
Friday, I took the two oldest girls to see a performance of Anne (that's Ann w/ an E) of Green Gables at the Tulsa PAC. We went with our homeschool group, Alliance, and then went out for lunch with our friends. They had a great time seeing one of their favorite stories acted out. And, I had a great time just hanging out with my girlies. :)

I See Chalk People
We don't have snow days in homeschool, we just keep right on doing our schoolwork. We do this, so that we can 70 degree weather days. The girls got outside yesterday and made "chalk" angels. They each laid down and the other drew an outline around them. They came in from playing w/ blue chalk all over them.

Funnies
I thought I would write a few of the funny things I have overheard the kids saying the last few days.
Silas and Sophie were sitting in the back of the car. We had just dropped the big kids off at piano lessons. Sophie: "Silas did you toot?" Silas: "Smellers the fellar."
Lizzy and Sadie were having a conversation about ghosts on our way to do some shopping: Lizzy - "I'm not afraid of ghosts. They are just clear people."
Sophie asked me, "Why can't I have an Ipot (not Ipod) like Lizzy?"
Sammy on the way home from piano, "It feels beautiful outside."
And, last but not least, while the kids were sorting dirty laundry, Henry says "Look at daddy's big underwear!" LOTS of laughter from all of the kids after that!
You never know what is going to come out of their mouths :)
