Sadie's Mission Trip
Sadie participated in our church's discipleship program this summer called Team 45. It is for kids who are in the 4th and 5th grade who desire to go into the mission field. Sadie's group went to Turley Assembly of God and cleaned the church in the morning, canvassed the neighborhoods and then put on Vacation Bible School for the kids at night. All the kids worked very hard and saw 50 kids come to know the Lord that week. I am very proud of her and so thankful that God has captured her heart w/ his amazing love.

Silas' Fathers Day Card

Blueberry Jam
The girls and I made blueberry jam this morning. After pulling the jars out of the canning pot, I set them on a towel to cool and set. When I came back to check on them, I found this:
Lizzy had made a label for each jar :) I may have an entrepreneur on my hands.
Felicity Unit Study
Lizzy and Sadie love the American Girl Doll books and even have a couple of the dolls. So, they were excited when they were invited to do a unit study w/ a few other girls from our homeschool group. One of the moms was gracious enough to open up her home and teach the girls from these books. They would have two weeks to complete their book and then they would come together and discuss the life of Felicity, such as the political views of the characters in the book, how the girls dressed during that period, and what girls were taught and allowed to study.

The also learned a couple of dances that were popular during that time. It was a lot of fun for them.

Dancing King
